Most people can fry an egg, some bacon, and pop a slice of bread into a toaster.
But to make it delicious, and make it delicious time day-after-day-after day; in
truth that’s a skill few possess.
But it’s a skill that father-and-son Anton and Mo Abuzaid have, and you’ll not find
better breakfasts and lunches than those they serve daily at Fame – Good Eats!
Anton trained and cooked in London, UK, before cooking in Chambersburg, while
Mo cooked in Old City Philadelphia and later co-owned eateries in Burlington and
Florence, N.J., prior to opening Fame in May 2023.
Their cooking skills are evident in the menu and adroit use of both imagination and
fresh ingredients. Breakfast options range from traditional egg, pancake, and
waffle dishes to southern-style Biscuits & Gravy, Breakfast Burritos / Quesadillas,
and Cheesy Shrimp N’ Grits (!!). Their South of the Border Omelette contains
spicy chorizo , sauteed onions & peppers, and melted jack cheddar cheese, while
Taco ‘Bout Breakfast offers breakfast tacos with chorizo, eggs, pico de gallo, jack
cheese and a spicy sriacha aioli. These are indeed ‘good eats.’

Knowing my interest in ‘different’, Mo suggested I try their Mediterranean
Shakshula, a breakfast of poached eggs in a chunky tomato bell pepper sauce, extra
virgin olive oil, fresh herbs, fresh mozzarella, and served with toasted za’atar pita
chips. Delicious – and perhaps also an interesting option for lunch?
Lunches are also a blend of traditional and imaginative. Burgers – BLT’s – Ham &
Cheese, Shrimp Tacos, salads, fresh soups…you won’t be disappointed.
Of note is how Fame is attracting groups; led by British Cars of Bucks County who
brought 14 members for their January breakfast gathering, another local group
followed with 35. Mo, Anton, and their very competent staff of Nicole, Mikayla,
April, and David handled the large groups with professionalism, competence and
courtesy. A noticeable difference from so many small businesses today!
Although the date is not yet decided, FAME has plans to open for dinner in March!
Building on the success of their Christmas Day menu; Mo indicated they’d be
offering a true dinner menu, as opposed to scaled-up lunches, and with holiday-t hemed menus for Thanksgiving – Christmas – Easter. And even better news –
they’re looking into a BYOB license!
Fame-Good Eats is a welcome addition to the Middle-Lower Bucks/Mercer
County restaurant scene; you’ll enjoy your visit.
